Associate Policy Director
Lucia Marquez is the Associate Policy Director with The Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable Economy. Lucia was first introduced to CAUSE as a student intern in 2016, supporting the campaign to defeat the Puente Power Plan in Oxnard. In 2017, she was hired as a Community Organizer working with Adult and Youth leaders on the Westside of Ventura. As an Organizer, she worked with CAUSE Leaders to pass district elections in the City of Ventura and passed ethic studies as a graduation requirement at Ventura Unified School District. Lucia graduated from the Woman's Policy Institute in 2019. She continues to work on local campaigns in Ventura County to advance tenant protections and environmental justice.
